Angelia Millender
Angelia Millender serves as the Vice President for Student Affairs and Enrollment Management at Broward College. She has district-wide responsibility for student financial services, student records/college registrar, international student admissions, student development and campus life, and college publications (catalog, student handbook and student newspaper). In this role, Millender also sets policy and the strategic direction for the overall vision of student affairs and enrollment management.
Millender brings 25 years of higher education experience in areas of academics and student affairs at multi-campus institutions. Having served as a faculty member, program director, director of career planning and placement, dean of student development, vice president for student affairs, and campus operations officer at institutions in large urban cities, she brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the College.
She has been directly involved and provided administrative oversight for student affairs in the substantive change processes relative to degree level and off-campus sites at two prior institutions governed by the regional accreditation organizations of North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (NCA), Middle States Commission on Higher Education and currently at Broward College, which is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS).
Millender serves on two boards in Broward County - the Coordinating Council of Broward (CCB) and the Eagle Charter Academy. She also chairs Broward College's Council on the Social Status of Black Men and Boys. A former board member of the Urban League of Broward, Millender's leadership brings value added to the College as she spearheads numerous student success initiatives focused on access with success and students finishing what they start.
She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in education and a Master of Science degree in management and the development of human resources.
