Mission of Broward College:

The mission of Broward College is to achieve student success by developing informed and creative students capable of contributing to a knowledge- and service-based global society. As a public community college accredited to offer associate degrees, selected baccalaureate degrees, and certificate programs, the institution and its District Board of Trustees are committed to fostering a learning-centered community that celebrates diversity and inclusion by empowering and engaging students, faculty, and staff.

Congratulations on your decision to begin your higher education at Broward County’s oldest and largest institution of higher learning. At Broward College you are joining a vibrant learning community with one of the most diverse and enthusiastic student populations in the United States. Your classmates come here from around Broward County as well as throughout the nation and more than 150 nations around the world. Together, they bring a mixture of languages, customs, experiences and points of view.

I think you will enjoy the flexibility that our wide range of academic programs offers you. Whether you hope to transfer to a university, enter the workforce after two years of training, or immediately upgrade your qualifications in your current job, Broward College has a tailor-made educational path for you. If English is not your first language, our English for Academic Purposes program will help ensure success in your academic career. Recently, the college has received accreditation for bachelor’s programs in education and fully online degree programs.

In addition to a dynamic and challenging curriculum and access to the latest instructional technology, we are most proud of the people who make up Broward College. Our faculty, staff, and administrators share a commitment to your success.
