Nominations are now open for 2009 Distinguished Alumni Award

Call for Distinguished Alumni Nominations

Broward College Alumni Association is seeking nominations for the 2009 Distinguished Alumni Award. The award will be presented at the Annual Lyceum Awards on Saturday, October 3, 2009 at Parker Playhouse in Fort Lauderdale.

The Distinguished Alumni Award is the highest honor the Broward College Alumni Association can present an alumnus or alumna. If you know of an outstanding graduate of the college that you wish to nominate, please submit your nomination no later than Wednesday, July 15, 2009.

Each nominee must demonstrate significant contributions in areas of professional, civic or public life, in sports, entertainment or similar activities.  The nomination should include how the alumni's life was enriched by his/her experience at Broward College, and how his/her contributions enriched the lives of members of the community. 

With more than 47,000 alumni here in South Florida and more than 60,000 around the country, I encourage you to participate in this nomination process.
