"Bearers of Culture" art exhibit celebrates Black History Month
 Artists Jerome Davis, left, George Gadson, Leigh Walker, Robert McKnight, Johnson Odibi, Charles Mills and Victor Grace. Twelve South Florida artists are exhibiting more than 30 pieces in a special event to honor the diversity of the black community during Black History Month. “Bearers of Culture” is the title of the show, presented by Broward Community College. The exhibit will be on view through March 9 at the Willis Holcombe Center 12th floor Administrative Art Space, located at 111 E. Las Olas Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale.
Arnold Victor Grace, the curator, is exhibiting some of his paintings. The other artists are Jerome Davis, Denise Collins, “Kapone Is Ill,” Nzingah Oniwosan, George Gadson, Leigh Walker, Charles Mills, Johnson Odibi, Rita Odibi, Robert McKnight and Javier Hidalgo.
An opening reception was held on Feb. 1.
