Committed to closing achievement gaps between its male learners, Broward College continues to find new ways to provide sustained support to underserved students. The Minority Male Initiative focuses on supporting completion goals, as well as, improving persistence and retention rates among these students.

FUTURE LEADERS SUCCESS CONFERENCE
This annual event brings together minority male students and community stakeholders to support the educational and professional aspirations of minority male students. The event features local and nationally recognized experts in achievement equity. Dr. Marc Lamont Hill will give the keynote address for this year’s event.

PRE-COLLEGE SUMMER LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE
The institute serves as a pipeline to Broward College for high school minority male students (grades 10-12) who are part of Broward County Public School’s Mentoring Tomorrow’s Leaders and the 5000 Role Models of Excellence program.

MMI MENTORSHIP PROGRAM
The mentoring program is designed to positively impact student success of Broward College minority males through deliberate and intentional interactions between students and campus community (via Peer Academic Leader (PAL) Program, Ignite Luncheon Series and networking opportunities).
