Military Students



Voted as a military friendly institution by GI Jobs, which honors the top 15% of colleges, universities and trade schools, Broward College is committed to enabling members of our armed forces to earn a quality education affordably. In our partnership with the Department of Defense and as a SOC member, the college makes it easier for you to enroll in college programs by simplifying credit transfers, avoiding duplication coursework, and reducing residency requirements.


BC takes pride in serving in-service military personnel and veterans by offering several programs designed around the unique needs of members of the U.S. armed forces through flexible fully online learning options blended (combined classroom and online) or in a traditional classroom if you are in the ROTC program . This is an ideal way to get the credentials desired to fulfill your educational goals at a pace that fits their busy schedules.
Broward College offers over 20 online degree programs and numerous online courses are available to military personnel on an “anywhere, anytime” basis. The college’s online courses are equivalent in credit hours and in quality with those offered in the more traditional format.
The College is a member of the Service members Opportunity Colleges (SOC) and holds a Memorandum of Understanding with Defense Activity for Non-Traditional Education Support (DANTES) as an external degree partner.

Broward College recognizes the skills and expertise you have developed in the field, awarding credit for:
  • ACE approved military training, and SMART, AARTS, USCG institute, and CCAF transcripts
  • DSST/CLEP exams
  • Civilian Academics
  • Courses completed at other accredited colleges and universities
