Admission Process



Step 1 – Complete BSN Supplemental Application

Download, fill out and submit aBSN Supplemental Application​ to the RN-BSN Program Office on Central Campus.

 

Note: All Broward College application requirements must be complete to be eligible for consideration for admission to the RN-BSN Program. These include, completing the BC application, Florida Residency Affidavit, BSN Supplemental Application, and submit transcripts from all institutions attended.

 

 

Please Note: Meeting the minimum admission requirements for a program guarantees consideration for a seat in the program, but does not guarantee acceptance into a program.​

Step 2 – Verify Admission Status and Submit Letter of Intent

Log in to your myBC account to check the status of your application. 

 

Admitted: candidates selected for admission will be notified through their free BC Email account with specific instructions for proceeding. Once admitted submit Letter of Intent to reserve seat in BSN Program. The Letter of Intent will be emailed to applicant through their BC Email account.

 

Not Admitted: candidates not selected for admission will be notified through their free BC Email account and their Program Objective will default to the AA for assisting with degree completion.  

 

​Step 3 – Complete required background check, drug screening, medical history & physical

​Step 4 – Attend BSN New Student Orientation

Each Health Science program has its own orientation for students who have been admitted. Information for each program’s orientation will be emailed to accepted students via BC student email.  

All completed admission forms are due at New Student Orientation.  Applicant must submit all completed documentation in a 10X13 envelope with write full name, student Id number, and phone number written on the front cover of envelope.


​RN-BSN New Student Orientation will be held on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 on Central Campus in building 17 (U/C Library), Room 425 from 9am-1pm. 

​Step 5 – Schedule Mandatory Individual Education Plan Meeting

Once all forms have been submitted and reviewed by a BSN Representative, you will receive an email to schedule a mandatory Individual Education Plan (IEP) meeting with the Program Manager.  Deadline dates will be announced during New Student Orientation.

The college reserves the right to change any of the rules and regulations of the Health Science Departments at any time, including those related to admission, instruction, and graduation. All such changes are effective at such time as the proper authorities determine, and may apply not only to prospective students, but also to those who already are enrolled in a Health Science Program. All enrolled students will be notified in writing of such changes as they occur.
