Our Business Administration programs are valued for their affordability and their well-roundedness. We provide the foundation for success in your business endeavors, whether they are for yourself or other organizations. Earn your associate’s degree in Business Administration and gain the skills that will teach you to be an effective leader in today’s competitive business world. Or choose one of our five technical certificates and specialize in entrepreneurship, sports and recreation management, business consulting, small business ownership or customer service.

Classroom Experience

All Business Administration tracks are carefully developed to help you build the necessary technical and problem-solving skills necessary to succeed in your chosen field. Curriculums prepare you to play a role in business development, management and administration. Some of the general coursework you will be learning includes:
 
  • Computer literacy
  • Legality and ethics
  • Workplace communication
  • The basics of being a supervisor and manager 
 
Business classes are offered on all three campuses: A. Hugh Adams Central, North and Judson A. Samuels South. Class sizes are small enough to allow for individual interaction with your professors and fellow Broward College students. We also offer complete flexibility in how you take your classes, with options to register in day, evening, weekend or online, so you can complete your chosen track even when employed full time.

Accreditation

Broward College is regionally accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, Commission on Colleges (SACS-COC) to award associate’s degrees in Business Administration.

Faculty

Business Administration faculty are industry experts who have proven track records within their field of study. They include graduates of local schools such as Barry University, St. Thomas University, Nova Southeastern University, University of Miami and Broward College. Accounting and economics classes, required for some tracks, are taught in a manner that prepares you to transfer into a state university, which our faculty works closely with to ensure a seamless transition for you. Many faculty members are published authors and accounting faculty hold Certified Public Accountant titles.

Courses

Business Administration courses are varied and focus on the skill sets you feel you need to develop the most—from improving your customer service approach to enhancing your knowledge of supply chains to understanding international business interactions. Four certificate programs require 24 credits. The Business Specialist Technical Certificate only requires 12 credits, and offers three different tracks from which to choose. The Associate of Science degree in Business Administration requires 64 credits to complete and offers a broad overview of business development, management and administration.
