Dental Hygiene & Assisting Our unique "1 + 1" program format offers you the added value of becoming both a Certified Dental Assistant and a Registered Dental Hygienist. After completion of our American Dental Association accredited 10-month Dental Assisting certificate program, you can earn an associate's in Dental Hygiene within 12 months. Our dental hygiene program is offered during the day, with all classes taught at BC's Central Campus in Davie, Florida only. Diagnostic Medical Sonography (Ultrasound) We offer an associate's if you're interested in Diagnostic Medical Sonography. This degree program requires that courses be taken in a sequential order for a total of 24 months. The exceptional combination of integrated academic and clinical experience provides you with a strong foundation for achieving full professional credentials and diagnostic proficiency. Only 15 students are accepted into this program each year and all program classes are taught at BC's North Campus, in Coconut Creek, Florida. Emergency Medical Services Emergency Medical Service personnel are highly trained health care professionals who are the first on the scene to offer immediate medical care. Consider becoming an EMT if you're a problem solver, resourceful, and willing to constantly improve the clinical skills we help you develop. Our accredited EMS program can get you an associate's degree in just six semesters. Health Information Technology Management HITM professionals work in more than 40 different settings under 125 different job titles. They often serve in " bridge roles" that connect clinical, operational, and administrative functions, helping to create synergy among departments through data. Qualifying for enrollment in BC's Health Information Technology Management program starts with a high school diploma or G.E.D. All HITM classes are taught at the North Campus during evening hours, with some exceptions. The program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Health Information and Informatics Management Education (CAHIIM).

Nuclear Medicine Nuclear medicine is a field that utilizes aspects of chemistry, physics, mathematics, computer technology, and applied medicine to provide information about the structure and function of nearly every vital organ system in the body. There are two programs offered at BC: the Nuclear Medicine AS Program, which is two years in length, and the Nuclear Medicine Certificate Program, which takes a year to finish. Both programs are only offered at the North Campus in Coconut Creek, Florida. Approximately 15 AS and five certificate students are accepted into the program each year. |

Bachelor of Science in Nursing—RN-BSN If you're already a registered nurse and wish to continue your education, Broward College now offers a comprehensive RN-BSN curriculum that earns you a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. The RN-BSN program is accredited by the National League of Nursing Accreditation Commission (NLNAC), and prepares you for leadership roles in nursing and health care in just 12 to 18 months. Classes are taught on A. Hugh Adams Central Campus. |

Physical Therapist Assisting Physical therapist assistants work closely with patients disabled by illness, accidents or congenital handicaps, helping to rehabilitate them as they recover and carry out their personal plan of care. BC offers a two-year program that satisfies the requirements for an associate's in Physical Therapist Assisting. Our Physical Therapist Assistant program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE). Classes are taught in the Health Sciences Building – North Campus, as well as on the Lee County Campus of Edison State College in Fort Myers, Florida. |

Radiation Therapy A radiation therapist delivers prescribed doses of radiation to patients for therapeutic purposes. After completing 24 months of on-campus courses and clinical education in area hospitals, program graduates are awarded an associate's in Radiation Therapy. Approximately 15 students are accepted into the program each year. BC's radiation therapy program maintains regional accreditation through the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS). |

Radiography Radiography is a discipline primarily associated with the use of x-rays to produce anatomic images. BC's radiography program gives you the knowledge, skills and values necessary to practice as an entry-level radiographer and to pass the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification examination. Approximately 40 students are accepted into the program each year. The Radiography Program maintains regional accreditation through the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS). |

Respiratory Care Respiratory Care is a specialty that deals with the diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of patients with cardiorespiratory diseases. BC's respiratory program is an advanced level two-year program that is nationally accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC). The respiratory care program accepts approximately 30 students into the program each year, and is only taught at our North Campus in Coconut Creek, Florida. |

Vision Care BC offers an associate's in Vision Care Technology that provides you with the opportunity to develop the necessary skills needed to assist in the ocular health of patients. Our curriculum features a theoretical approach to important ophthalmic concepts and prepares you to work with optometrists, ophthalmologists, and eye care corporations.
