Admissions Criteria


AS in Health Information Technology

​August 2018 Application Criteria:

  • Minimum overall GPA of 2.5.
  • Successful completion ("C" or better) of ENC 1101, BSC 2085 and BSC 2085L, SPC 1024 or SPC 1608.
  • All students selected for admission must successfully complete a required medical history and physical examination, fingerprinting, background check, and drug screening Information about these requirements will be provided at the Program pre-admission meeting.

Application Period:   Open Ended (Open until all seats are filled)

Admission Selection Criteria:  Selection for admission is based on the highest GPA and successful completion of ENC 1101, BSC 2085 and BSC 2085L, and SPC 1024 or SPC 1608. Preference is given for military service.

In the event of a tie, overall GPA will be used as the tiebreaker.

Additional Information:

For the 2016 Health Information Technology Program, students who were admitted had a GPA ranging from 2.5 to 4.0.
