About CJ Testing Center
 The Criminal Justice (CJ) Testing Center at Broward College’s Institute of Public Safety on the Davie Campus is a regional assessment center serving law applicants who are pursuing a career as a law enforcement or corrections officer/deputy. Anyone in the country who is interested in serving the public can register for testing.
The CJ Testing Center is not a hiring agency. It is a regional selection center for those who wish to apply for positions in law enforcement or corrections. Tests administered at the regional Testing Center comply with requirements defined by the State of Florida’s Criminal Justice Standards and Training Commission (CJSTC) and the Broward County Chiefs of Police Association.

Testing Registration and Log In

All test registrations take place online. To sign up for a test:

  1. Register with CJ Testing Center—Fill in the application information and receive a CJTC ID. Be sure to note your ID for future reference. 
  2. Log in to schedule CJ tests—Use your CJTC ID and PIN (automatically set for birth month and year) to sign in and schedule tests.

How soon are test results posted
The Swim and Basic Abilities Test results are posted the same day the test is taken.
The TABE test results are posted the day after the test is taken.
The CJBAT test results are posted the Wednesday of the week the test is taken.
In the event of a holiday or weather related emergency the posting of the test results may be delayed
How long is the Physical Fitness Assessment CJSTC 75B (Doctor's Note) good for
Six month from the date the doctor signs the form.

Effective April 7, 2014 the 75B form will be valid for one (1) year from the date of the doctor's signature.

​CRIMINAL JUSTICE TESTING CENTER ANNOUNCEMENTS
 
Effective January 1, 2015, the IPS Regional Testing Center will no longer accept cash as payment for any pre-employment testing or fingerprinting processing.  We will accept credit card, debit card or money orders as payment. 
 
Effective April 7, 2014 the following testing changes will take effect:
  • Monday:  CJBAT will be given at 1:00pm
  • Tuesday:  CJBAT will be given at 8:00am
  • Tuesday:  TABE test will be given at 2:00pm
 
The Testing Center will be closed on the following dates:
 
December 19, 2014-January 4, 2015 for Winter Break
January 19, 2015 for Martin Luther King Jr Birthday
March 2-6, 2015 for Spring Break
May 25, 2015 for Memorial Day
