On May 10, 2013 Broward College held it's first Supply Chain Management symposium titled, Profits & Perishables: Controlling the Loss of Perishable Goods in your Supply Chain
The symposium brought together industry leaders to provide information and stimulate discussion on how the supply chain industry contributes to the movement of perishable goods in South Florida and the importance of supply chain management. It also formally introduced Broward College’s Bachelor of Applied Science degree program.

David Banfield, director of sales and port development, Florida East Coast Railway;
Jeff Weidner, strategic development officer, Office of Modal Development, Florida Department of Transportation;

Xavier Cerruto, director of business development and ACS strategy, DHL Aviation Americas.
