BAS Admission Guidelines

Step 1

​Minimum: An Associate degree or 60 or more completed college semester credit hours with a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale in all postsecondary coursework from a regionally accredited institution.

Step 2

​Students who apply to the BAS program with 60 or more college semester credit hours must have completed the following general education courses: 


(a) ENC1101 - English Composition I - 3 credits

(b) A humanities course - 3 credits

(c) A social science course - 3 credits

(d) A natural science course - 3 credits

(e) A college level mathematics course - 3 credits

Step 3

​If you are not a Broward College student, please submit the BC general admission application before submitting the BAS supplemental application

Step 4

​If you are a Broward College student, but have not taken any courses for at least two major consecutive terms (fall and winter), you must submit a Broward College re-entry application before submitting the BAS supplemental application.

Step 5

​Download and print the BAS supplemental application.

Step 6

​Mail the completed BAS supplemental application to the address on the application or submit it in person to any of the BAS Coordinators. The BAS supplemental application will only be accepted by e-mail if you are sending the supplemental application in a pdf format from your Broward College Student E-Mail Account. Supplemental applications will not be accepted via fax.

Step 7

An incomplete BAS supplemental application will result in the delay of your admission into the BAS program.​

Step 8

The BAS supplemental applications are processed on a monthly basis.  The deadline to submit your BAS supplemental application is 7 business days prior to the admission committee meeting.​

Step 9

​You will be contacted via your Broward College e-mail 3-5 business days (regarding your admissions status) after the BAS admission committee meets.

Step 10

​All official post-secondary transcripts must be submitted before your supplemental application can be processed.
