What are the Florida Teacher Certification Examinations (FTCE)?
The State of Florida requires that teachers pass the following exams in order to obtain a Professional Teaching Certificate:
General Knowledge Exam (GKE)
Professional Education Test (PEd)
Subject Area Examination (SAE)
Please note that in order to be accepted into any teacher education baccalaureate program, a student MUST pass the GKE. For admission into the TEP Bachelor of Science in Education programs at BC, students are required to pass any one of the four sections. TheGKE Info Sheet (2).pdf includes important information about the exam. *FTCE is experiencing scoring delays up to 4 weeks, please plan accordingly to meet admission deadlines.

To access the Praxis mock tests, which are aligned to the GKE, logon to D2L or MyBC and click on Brainfuse to begin.
Once you are logged into Brainfuse:
