To calculate your Grade Point Average (GPA) divide the number of Grade Points by the number of Semester Hours enrolled.
Each grade has a certain number of points assigned to it: A= 4, B=3, C=2, D=1, F=0.
To determine the Grade Points earned, first multiply the points by the number of credit hours. If you earned a “C” in ENC 1101 (a 3 credit-hour course), then you multiply 2 points x 3 hours to get 6 grade points. If you took 15 hours (five 3-hour courses) last semester, and earned a “B,” two “C” s, a “D,” and an “F,” this is how you would calculate your GPA:
B=3 points X 3 hours = 9 grade points C=2 points X 3 hours = 6 grade points C=2 points X 3 hours = 6 grade points D=1 points X 3 hours = 3 grade points F=0 points X 3 hours = 0 grade points
For last semester, you earned 24 grade points. Now divide this number by the number of semester hours taken: 24 points divided by 15 hours = 1.60 GPA

Click here for more information on educational planning.
Students can register for courses online by logging in to "My BC" on the BC homepage. For instructions on how to log in to "My BC", see Logging in to My BC at the top of this page. Once logged in, select "Registration", then "Add/Drop". Select the appropriate term.
Now you are ready to select courses. You can also search by common course number (ex. ENC1101) or by subject area if you wish.
