The Holcombe Institute promotes Civic Engagement / Service-Learning as one of its initiatives. Academic Service-Learning is a course-based teaching and learning approach that integrates traditional study with community service to

• Teach Civic Responsibility and
• Strengthen Communities.

Through research on relevant issues and guided reflection activities students forge practical lifelong connections
