The technical equipment to work on them is highly sophisticated. There has never been more demand for well-trained, diagnostic technicians.

How driven are you?

In two years, you could have your Associate Degree in Automotive Technology... and be qualified for immediate employment as an auto technician. From there,
you can:

  • Get your ASE certification
  • Improve your chances of being hired for management
    positions by pursuing a Management or Bachelor's degree

A recent study indicates that Florida is short 5,000 technicians and there is a similar shortage nationwide. Here are some other interesting facts:

  • Job Security: The Automotive Technician field is expected to be one of Florida's fastest growing occupations through the year 2012.
  • Be in High Demand: Broward County alone is generating over 300 openings annually for automotive technicians.

Earning Power: The average graduate can expect to earn $35,000/year within a couple years after completing the program. Many technicians earn over $50,000 a year and it is not unusual for some to earn over $75,000.
