Community colleges have come to represent our country's single-most powerful mechanism for assuring access to economic opportunity. By strengthening these institutions, the fabric of our democracy can be protected for generations to come.
The leadership of each community college faces the major challenge of developing a comprehensive institutional strategic planning process that is responsive to the short-term and mid-term educational needs of our local communities. Such a plan must embrace and muster all resources available to promote the success of community college goals.
