Broward College is continually recognized as a top higher education institution in the nation by a number of prestigious publications and surveys. In 2019, the College was, once again, featured prominently on many of these lists for reporting data from the 2018-19 academic year. 

 
The rankings awarded the College with high marks for its track record of providing outstanding education in high-demand fields, success in identifying opportunities to promote one year certificates in current and emerging industries, its dedication to serving all backgrounds, including minorities and veterans alike.

 INTERNATIONAL AWARD

iStock-920504860.jpgIn 2019, Broward College received the IIE Andrew Heiskell Award for Innovation in International Education. The College received the award under the International Partnerships category in recognition of its initiative “The Third Way,” which allows students to stay in their home country and complete an associate degree with Broward College before transferring to a college or university in the U.S.

 SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS

JKCF.pngThe College boasts 21 Jack Kent Cooke Scholarship recipients. This prestigious national award is a $40,000 scholarship to transfer to the university of the student’s choice.

 ASSOCIATE DEGREES

Trophy IconIn 2018, Diverse Issues in Higher Education ranked Broward College:

FIRST for degrees conferred to African-American students, and second for degrees conferred to Hispanic students. 

 NCLEX PASS RATE

iStock-618224832.jpgBroward College nurses consistently pass the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) at a higher rate than graduates from similar institutions. Third quarter 2018 results reported Broward College graduates had a 97% percent pass rate, while the Florida average was 72 percent.

​​1Award.jpgNAMED #1 in the state for the number of industry certifications awarded to students for the third year in a row.​ Students earned 1,535 industry certifications or licenses in the areas of public safety, healthcare, information technology, manufacturing, and transportation.

Money IconAccording to the labor study, "Labor Market Experiences after Postsecondary Education," Broward College graduates are the HIGHEST EARNERS IN THE STATE compared to students from similar programs at other institutions.
