Broward College’s Buehler Planetarium & Observatory Celebrates Moon Fest on July 20
FORT LAUDERDALE, FL (July 8, 2013) – To celebrate the 44th anniversary of the first Apollo Moon landing, Broward College’s Buehler Planetarium & Observatory, located at 3501 Davie Road, Davie, will celebrate Moon Fest on Saturday, July 20, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The family-friendly event is open to the public, and will include paper rocket launches, free “Solar System Odyssey” planetarium shows and a variety of hands-on activities. In addition, attendees are invited to participate in a simulated walk across the Solar System to experience the scale of planetarium distances, and make craters in lunar soil.
Space is limited for the “Solar System Odyssey” show, and reservations are required. Show times are at 10:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. For more information on Moon Fest or to reserve a spot for the show, call 954-201-6681.
