An innovative Broward College program, the voluntary College Employee Severance Plan (CESP) has the potential to make a significant, positive impact on the lives of qualified employees who choose to apply for the benefits being offered. The new benefit was approved through the CESP for administrators and professional technical employees who have been at the college for 15 years or more. They may choose to consider this plan, which will have a financial payout when they leave the college’s employment.
The implementation of the plan for eligible professional technical staff and administrators will have a window period opening October 19, 2009 and closing December 8, 2009 with an exit date of December 31, 2009. Individual packets will be mailed via college mail to eligible employees on October 6-7. The Human Resources and Equity Division has scheduled general information sessions on all campuses with representatives from Educators Preferred Corporation, the company that will be administering the CESP, as follows:
