EMT Profession

The EMT and Paramedic profession has changed dramatically over the past 20 years. The changes have been largely driven by technology and better understanding of treatment modalities. EMT's and Paramedics are the eyes and ears of the medical community. We are the first to meet and provide treatment to patients.
As paramedics we strive to help every patient we encounter. This may be nothing more then taking a blood pressure to resuscitating a patient in cardiac arrest.

Where the first class of paramedics completed their training in 6 weeks. Todays paramedics spend two years in training.
Being a paramedic is less about dramatic resuscitations and more about being resourceful, problem solving, and constantly improving your clinical skills.
