Biography Information

Dr.
Lois
Bolton
is
the
provost
of
the
A.
Hugh
Adams
Central
Campus
in
Davie,
serving
the
central
portion
of
Broward
County.
She
is
responsible
for
all
the
Adams
Central
Campus
operations
including
academic
programs,
student
support
services,
library
and
learning
resources,
budget,
personnel,
and
building
and
grounds
maintenance.
The
position
also
involves
management
of
the
academic
programs
and
the
student
services
in
support
of
those
programs
offered
at
the
Willis
Holcombe
Center
located
in
downtown
Ft.
Lauderdale.
She
joined
the
college
in
1983
as
a
professor
of
biology.
During
her
25
years
at
Broward,
she
has
held
several
positions,
including
science
department
head
and
academic
dean.
She
was
awarded
an
ACE
Fellowship
during
the
1994-1995
academic
year.
Dr.
Bolton
has
served
in
the
community
as
a
member
of
the
Davie-Cooper
City
Chamber
in
several
positions,
the
Davie
Economic
Council,
the
Urban
League
of
Broward
County
and
on
the
United
Way
of
Broward
County
Campaign
Cabinet.
She
earned
her
bachelor’s
and
master’s
degrees
in
biology
at
Mankato
State
in
Minnesota,
and
her
doctorate
in
education
at
Florida
International
University.
