Health & Safety

 

The Director of Health & Safety is assigned the responsibility of overseeing the College-wide health and safety programs. Primary responsibilities include the following:

Directing and administering BCC’s health and safety programs; developing health, safety and environmental policies, procedures and practices to ensure the overall health and safety of employees, students and visitors.

 

Coordinating with the College health, safety and environmental committees on the development and review of BCC’s health and safety program in accordance with the guidelines stated in Florida administrative code rule 381-10 and current practices and philosophies adopted by the safety profession as most effective in preventing injuries, occupational diseases, vehicular collisions, liabilities and damage to property, facilities or the environment.

 

Performs regular campus inspections to monitor regulatory compliance and implementation in accordance with the State Regulations for Educational Facilities.

 

Collects and analyzes safety/health statistics, including accident/injury experience, monitors and make recommendations to correct problems or potential problem areas.
