Faculty Associates

 

  • The Holcombe Associate for Civic Engagement/Service Learning coordinates collegewide faculty development opportunities and collaborates on grants/proposals with Florida Campus Contact and other SL and CE organizations.  This associate provides collegewide support services for Service Learning students; assists in design/implementation of local partnership programs; coordinates Service Learning activities with campus Student Life offices and participates in student orientations.
  • The Holcombe Associate for Diversity articulates with campus leadership to plan, implement and evaluate opportunities for diversity initiatives; advances culturally appropriate and competent programs to meet the needs of the diverse faculty and student body; and helps launch and promote on-line diversity training programs for faculty. 
  • The Holcombe Associate for Learning Communities provides collegewide advocacy and coordination of the Learning Community (LC) initiative including future direction and assessment of LCs. This Associate facilitates cross-discipline faculty dialogues and other faculty development opportunities for curricular design of campus LCs; functions as a liaison for LCs and Campus Faculty Coordinators relative to integrating curriculum; and serves as a resource person for all collegewide faculty members teaching in LCs.  
  • The Holcombe Associate for SLS SLS Success Initiatives plans, implements and evaluates success coach training; makes recommendations for success coach initiatives; coordinates/plans training and collegewide workshops for success coach/instructors.  This associate keeps coaches informed of changes to the Achieving the Dream (AtD) program, attends AtD meetings and reports on SLS activities.
