Students who fulfill the graduation requirements of the program and earn the Honors Certificate |
Honors Institute Transfer Scholarship Awards to State, National, and International Colleges and Universities |
Students who have won transfer scholarships are awarded the scholarships by representatives from the universities. |

Members of the college-wide Broward Community College Brain Bowl Team |
Mathematics Team |
Members of the college-wide Broward Community College Mathematics Team |
Departmental Awards |
Various departments on each campus select the outstanding sophomore in that discipline or area. The criteria are as follows:
- Minimum of 3.5 cumulative grade point average.
- Type of classes taken, such as Honors, Honors Option, Advanced.
- Service to the campus, college, and community.
- Faculty and/or department chair recommendation.
- Interview of student (optional).

Deans' Awards |
The Academic Dean on each campus names the outstanding sophomore on his or her campus. These are the criteria:
- Minimum of 3.5 cumulative grade point average.
- Type of classes taken, such as Honors, Honors Option, Advanced.
- Service to the campus, college, and community.
- Faculty and/or department chair recommendation.
- Interview of student (optional).

Distinguished Alumni Award |
Broward Community College Graduates who have become distinguished in their careers. |
If
you are eligible for an award and have received an invitation, you
must RSVP in order to attend the ceremony. Invitations
are mailed out by the Honors Institute six weeks prior to
the Honors Awards Celebration.
