Classes
You
can expect to be challenged and recognized in classes designed
especially for you.
Friendly
settings. Classes are small, limited to 20 students
per class. You will find it easy to become involved in
learning in the seminar-style environment.
Stimulating
instruction. Not only will you become knowledgeable
about and acquire skills in a subject, but also you'll
be encouraged to learn actively, to think analytically
and creatively, and to debate different ideas. Special
projects will give you a chance to apply what you've learned.
Course
variety. A wide variety of Honors courses that
span the college curriculum are available to you, such
as anthropology, philosophy, biology, statistics, and literature.

Extra-curricular Programs
Through
participation in extra-curricular programs, such as Phi Theta Kappa,
the Brain Bowl Team and the Math Team, you can become a leader,
a competitor, and a traveler. You can give to the community by
your involvement in college service projects. Attendance at social
events will give you a chance to build enduring friendships.

» Are
You Eligible?
You are eligible for immediate enrollment if you meet any of
the following criteria:
1)
Completion of 12 college-credits with a 3.5 GPA (GPA is based
on college-level courses only)
2)
High School Graduation and 1000 SAT score (minimum 440 math and
440 verbal required)(no remedial classes required)
3)
Proof of completion of a Home School program with 1000 SAT score
(minimum 440 Math and 440 verbal). Please contact the
Honors Institute for more information.
4)
GED diploma with top 1-2% GED test score (based on test percentiles
on your diploma)
5)
Outstanding high school students may be admitted on the Honors
Scholar Award scholarship, which entails a different application
