This new component of
the Honors website exists to display the creative talents
of Broward Community College's Honors Students. Most
of the works you will browse here were created within
Honors classes to fulfill an assignment or project.
Additionally, works created in non-Honors art courses
may be featured. Finally, the Showcase may include
personal works by Honors students, not created within
a class environment, which have received noteworthy
recognition or publication by other established organizations.
This new Showcase is a work in progress.
More students will be included over time. Comments
and suggestions are welcome. Browse and enjoy!
Submission
Guidelines
Honors students who would like to
see their accomplishments featured here should read
the following guidelines. Further information is
available on the consent form.
Requirements
- All submissions must be the original creations
of currently enrolled Broward Community College
Honors Students
- All works must be created within an Honors class
or within a non-Honors artistic class (i.e. creative
writing, poetry, photography, drawing, painting,
etc.)
- Works receiving recognition and/or publication
may be considered
Procedure
Students: If your
work in a BC class has been commended by your
instructor, you should approach your professor
and ask if they would recommend your work for the
Student Showcase. With their agreement, download
the consent form above, complete the student section,
and ask your professor to complete the faculty
section. You should then send or drop off the form
at the Honors Office. You will be contacted if
your work was accepted.
Note: Students whose
work was recognized or published, but not created
within a class, should contact the Honors Institute
directly about having their work featured.
