
What is HCA?
HCA, Hospital Corporation of America is a company that owns and operates numerous hospitals, surgery centers, and staffing agencies in the United States and Europe. Northwest Medical Center, Plantation General Hospital, University Hospital and Medical Center and Westside Regional Medical Center are HCA Hospitals located in Broward County. Each hospital has a virtual tour to learn about their specialty departments, benefits, size as well as other information.
What is the HCA Scholarship Program?
The HCA Scholarship program offers $6,000.00 for tuition and books expenses for one of the following programs at Broward Community College:
Once graduated, scholarship recipients work for a two-year employment commitment at an HCA facility. Receiving this scholarship does not affect your starting salary or benefits. Scholarship graduates receive quality training and specialty opportunities.
How do I qualify for the HCA Scholarship?
To be considered, you must be accepted into Broward Community College (BCC) and one of the health science programs listed above. In addition, applicants must have a grade point average of at least 2.0 and complete the application process. Qualified applicants will be contacted for a confidential interview.
How do I apply?
- Down load and complete an HCA Scholarship Application.
- Download and complete the Interview Questionnaire.
- Download and give the Interview Questionnaire to your employer and to your clinical instructor (need 2 recommendations).
- Once 1-3 is complete, mail to:
