Women Investigating New Goals and Services

Women Investigating New Goals and Services (WINGS)

 

Women Investigating New Goals and Services (WINGS) is a program providing solutions and support for women in career transition who must pursue independence through education, employment or self-employment.

 

The intent of the program is to assist individuals pursuing credited degree or certificate programs leading to employment.

 

WINGS services include career counseling and assessment, information and referral to community agencies and scholarship assistance.

 

 

Participants eligibility criteria:

  • Women who are 35 years old or older.
  • Separated, divorced, or widowed homemaker now
    responsible for supporting herself and possibly her family.
  • A woman whose spouse’s disability is putting a strain
    on their income.
  • Unemployed or underemployed and lacking the direction
    needed to enter the job market.
  • A single parent struggling to meet the many demands made
    by inadequate financial support.

Scholarships eligibility critera


  • 35 years of age or older 
  • Separated, divorced, widowed or has a disabled spouse or spouse out of work
  • Can prove financial need or hardship
  • Attending Broward College and taking a minimum of six (6) credits
  • Minimum GPA of 2.5 Must have completed FAFSA application.
