After awhile, the student e-mail logs me out. Why does it do this and how can I increase the time before I am logged out?
The e-mail system will automatically log you out after 20 minutes. This is a security precaution to make sure that if you leave it open it will not allow someone to access your e-mail. You can change the timeout by accessing your e-mail options (see Quick Reference for instructions).

Student e-mail was designed to be accessed from any web browser, however, it also works with common e-mail clients such as Outlook or Netscape Mail. Likewise, if you try to send to someone whose mailbox is full, you will receive an error message back indicating the message could not be sent.
