Reports/Statistics/Surveys

Institutional Research (IR), serving under Information Technology and in partnership with Enterprise Business Intelligence, plays an important role in the production of statistics and reports to support academic and administrative planning and decision making. IR is primarily responsible for providing statistics and reports about students, staff, and programs upon request to internal and external requestors. In addition to this, IR coordinates the administration of external surveys and develops and administers internal surveys. Further, IR provides data for reporting purposes to external agencies.

SAS Business Intelligence Initiative

The Business Intelligence department is working with staff throughout the college to identify the information needed in order to make data driven decisions.  The BI staff is working with three teams that have been set up to help define the requirements.

These teams are:

Academic Team - This team is headed by Russ Adkins and has some prototype reports/cubes that are in the process of being reviewed.  Russ will be contacting staff to get input for the additional information needed from an academic perspective.  Bonnie Aubrecht, from the BI staff, is working with this team.

Student Team - Dr. Debbie Sloan is heading up this team.  The team's first project will be to follow prospects through the system.  These prospects will be tracked through our system to see if they go to advising, to see if they get tested, and to see if they register.  Wendy Clink is working with the Student team.

Business Team - This team is being led by Elizabeth Mendez and is in the process of gathering requirements.  The team has identified over 70 reports that are needed by the college.  Barbara Blum and Delores Powell is working with this team.

SAS FM Initiative - This project is headed by Elizabeth Mendez.  SAS FM is a financial management tool which will help provide the financial information in an easy to use format.  Barbara Blum and Delores Powell is working on this project.
