Over the years, BC has maintained a relationship with educational institutions in many countries. A new partner in Montego Bay, Jamaica is anticipated to open its doors in January of 2009. For these programs,
BC provides on-going technical assistance for academic programs offered by overseas affiliate colleges.
BC conducts on-site visits to all international partners.
BC reviews the parallelism and quality of the academic programs offered by international partners.
BC awards BC credits and provides official transcripts for students enrolled in the Singapore and Guayaquil, Ecuador programs. These sites have been approved by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools as overseas BC centers.
Broward College is also a national leader in Study Abroad Programs. As an active member of the College Consortium for International Studies (CCIS), BC's Greene Institute for International Education offers semester-length academic programs in more than a dozen countries, including England, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Greece, Costa Rica, Ecuador, India, Australia, Australia and Spain, the home of our Semester in Spain program.
Established in 1979, the International College of Seville provides students an opportunity to spend a full semester living and studying in the city of Seville. For information about this program go to: www.broward.edu/spain
Established in 1996, the International Center for Management and India Studies provides students with the same quality of international experience in the complex and intriguing city of Bangalore, India. For information about this program go to: http://www.broward.edu/india
Broward College also conducts several short-term faculty led international programs each summer.
Open to anyone in the community, these courses provide an enriching combination of foreign travel experience and academic instruction.
Summer study abroad programs are offered in 2009 to Mexico, Germany, Africa and India. Students are able to become acquainted with different cultural, linguistic and historic perspectives while in these countries.
Students may also elect to attend classes at Cambridge University in England as a member of our Florida Cambridge Consortium program directed from the University of South Florida, in Tampa, FL.
