To provide international and intercultural educational experiences to help students develop perspectives that will enable them to function effectively in a multicultural environment and in an interdependent world.

To pursue linkages with educational institutions and agencies in other countries in order to provide for an academic interchange and promote the improvement of higher education on a global scale.

BC Educational Master Plan: Goal Five- Strategy 3: Develop a process to expand international partnership programs.

To fulfill its mission and the goal of the EMP, the International Education Institute performs the following major functions for Broward College:

BC provides on-going technical assistance for academic programs offered by affiliate colleges.

BC conducts on-site visits to all international partners.

BC reviews the parallelism and quality of the academic programs offered by international partners.

BC awards Broward College credits and provides official transcripts for students enrolled in the Singapore and Guayaquil, Ecuador programs.
