NOTE: Must have an excellent driving record, be person of good moral character. NOTE: In some parts of FL, (the more rural areas), stress on college degree is much, much less. |

| Sample Pathway: bachelors or higher degree OR bachelors degree with law enforcement or military experience OR, for a few agencies, combination of college course work (though no earned degree) and law enforcement or military experience. NOTE: Knowledge of a second language is a definite plus in being hired, also may be required to work in different cities (ie: forced to move) during the first few years. |
