Eligible Requirement

All full-time employees are eligible for benefits on the first of the month following 30 consecutive days of employment.
Domestic partners are eligible dependents under the Broward College, Medical, Dental and Vision Plans.

Time Off and Leave Benefits

Administrators & Professional Technical Staff Time Off
  • Sick leave earn 12 days per year
  • Vacation earn 12 days per year ( 5 - 10 years of service 1.25 days per month)
  • Sick Leave incentive no days off for 6 months $100.00
Faculty Calendar and Leave Benefits

  • 163-day calendar for instructional faculty
  • 194 day calendar for some faculty counselors and;
  • 213 day calendar for faculty counselors and librarians
  • Sick Leave - accumulated at one day per calendar
  • 8  for 163 day calendar
  • 10 for 194 day calendar
  • 11 for 213 day calendar
