Phareodus encaustus slab

Phareodus encaustus, a carnivorous fish from the Eocene Epoch (55-37 million years ago) noted for its large pointed teeth. Name means "to have tooth". Cousins of this fish may still be found in Central-South America and Southeast Asia.
