Priscacara and myoplosus

Plaster cast of Priscacara and Mioplosus fish. Priscacara, whose name means "primitive head". Similar in shape to a sunfish. Became extinct at the end of the Miocene Eposch (23 to 5 million years ago); possibly related to the modern-day Cichildae.
Mioplosus, a predator due to its pointed teeth and the fact that several have been found with fish lodged in their throat. May be related to modern-day Pike.
