Articulation is a contract between colleges and universities to ease the transfer of Associate of Arts and Associate of Science graduates to a bachelor's degree at the junior level with other universities.
Florida statute 1007.23 guarantees a student admission to a Florida College or University upon completion of an Associate of Arts degree from a Florida community college. Some exceptions apply such as limited access or teacher certification programs or programs requiring an audition for acceptance. Independent Colleges and Universities of Florida (ICUF)
Broward College (BC) has agreements with many independent colleges and universities of Florida. These agreements facilitate Associate in Arts degree graduates to transfer into a private college or university with the guarantee to enter as a junior, receive at least 60 credit hours toward a bachelor's degree, and receive recognition for the general education core taken at the community college.
