Note: Every AA degree-seeking student must complete thirty-six college-level semester credit hours of general education courses in five subject areas: Communications, Mathematics, Social Science, Humanities, and Natural Sciences. Students attending the Miramar West Center have a variety of general education courses to choose from and may complete all thirty-six credit hours at the center.
Classes are offered in a variety of styles for your convenience:
Traditional Onsite Classes (face-to-face with your instructor)
Blended (50% onsite and 50% online classes)
Classes are offered weekdays, evenings and weekends to accommodate your busy schedule. Many classes are offered in accelerated, competency-based formats that allow students to move through the class as they master content. Credit-for-prior-learning options are also available, including credit-by-portfolio, credit-by-examination, and military experience.
You can also complete all of your General Education requirements at Miramar West Center campus.
Students can also access a host of support services including access to the Academic Success Center
which offers: tutoring in all subjects, study rooms, collaborative study stations and cutting edge technologies in both classroom and online settings. The center will offer a full-service student affairs area, including, admissions, registration, financial aid, and student life.
