Step 1
Apply to Broward Community College. Download the application from the admission page on the BCC web site. Part of the application process includes having your transcripts sent from other schools to BCC. Send your application to the address listed on the application or hand deliver it to the registrar’s office on any campus.
Step 2
Complete the prerequisite courses for the respiratory care program. Keep in mind your performance in the prerequisite courses will determine your placement in the program. A minimum GPA of 2.5 in the prerequisite courses is necessary to apply to the program.

Step 3
Submit the “Limited Access Application” for the Health Science Program.
Step 4
Upon acceptance into the program, you will be required to complete the criminal background check, drug screen and physical examination. Instructions for completing these are available on the BCC Center for Health Science Education Website.
