Food Safety


Every day the news seems to have another article about food safety. Keeping food safe is every food handler's responsibility. Protect yourself, your customers and your business!

The State of Florida requires anyone who serves or handles food to be certified in food safety! This course covers everything necessary to keep food safe and protect lives. Led by Manuel Delgado, CCE, CEC, MCFE, CDM, CFPP., the course complies with all state requirements. Handlers are required to attend the three hour lecture; managers must also take and pass the certification exam. Renewals are required every five years. Certification is given through the National Registry of Food Safety Professionals.

Food service managers in Florida must be certified every five years via a state accepted course through the National Registry of Food Safety Professionals. This course is taught by a Certified Food Safety Manager Instructor who has trained thousands of certified professionals. To certify, you must successfully complete a two-hour, 80 question exam covering food safety with a grade of 75% or better. This course includes instruction, materials, handouts, test preparation review, proctored examination and certificate.

Food Handler Safety Certification

Food handlers in Florida must be trained to handle food in a safe manner. This class, taught by a Certified Food Safety Manager Instructor will cover food protection, storage, preparation and possible problems. From pest control to equipment maintenance, food handlers must understand how their actions maintain food safety. Completion of this class earns the certificate required by the State of Florida.
