Frequently Asked Questions

What are “workout clothes”?

Workout clothes should allow for full movement of body parts and should provide minimal protection to your body.
  • Athletic shorts or pants are required. No jeans or cut-off shorts allowed.
  • Athletic shirts are required. Sleeveless shirts or tank tops must be appropriate as determined by wellness center staff.
  • Athletic shoes are required. No sandals, flip-flops or dress shoes allowed.

Will I be able to change, shower and store my stuff?

There are men’s and women’s locker rooms available with changing areas, restrooms, showers and lockers. You must bring your own lock, towel and any toiletries you require.

What exercises should I do?

No personal training is offered at Broward College Fitness Centers. If you are new to exercising, you should consider taking any of a number of wellness courses the college offers that will teach you what exercises you should perform, how to perform them correctly and how to evaluate your progress.

I lost my student ID. Can I still use the Fitness Center?

No. You will have to get a replacement card first. Please contact your campus Student Life representative for more information.
