In order to ensure proper course placement, all degree-seeking students who have not successfully completed college-level English and Math courses must be assessed in Reading, English, and Mathematics. Tests utilized in the assessment process have been determined by the Florida State Board of Education. Broward Community College accepts the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) and American College Testing (ACT), providing the scores are no more than two years old. In addition, BCC offers the Computerized Placement Test (CPT) and Levels of English Proficiency (LOEP) on a weekly basis.
