Resources

There are a number of programs and websites for veterans to take advantage of after coming home from service. We collected the most valuable resources that will help you and your family on your educational journeys.

All VA forms are available at the VA.gov web site. The forms on this page cannot be printed, please email to veterans@broward.edu or submit to any Broward College Financial Aid Services a copy of your confirmation page verifying submission of VA forms.  Please make sure you incldue your name, student ID and GI Bill Chapter you are using.

***To better serve our veterans, we have implemented an electronic certification form (E-CERT). It can be accessed once you have logged into your myBC account. Simply click on or scroll over 'Financial Aid' to access the drop down menu, then click on 'Veterans'.

With this form you will be able to request benefits without having to wait in line at the Financial Aid office, or to see an academic advisor for a signature. Once your E-CERT has been submitted you will receive an immediate response confirming your submitted E-CERT data and other important information. Please review. While you are no longer required to see an academic adviosr to have them sign off on your request for certification, it is strongly suggested that you maintain contact with your academic advisor to discuss any desired degree changes or enrollment prior to actually enrolling.

Please also note that you if you have not yet identified yourself to us as a veteran by first submitting Form 1990 (to initiate benefits) or Form 1995 (to change Program of Study or School), or as an eligible dependent of a veteran by first submitting the proper forms along with proof of relationship, we will not be able to process your E-CERT or honor your request for benefits.

If you have any questions about this new process please do not hesitate to contact us at veterans@broward.edu.
