The college utilizes several
ways to inform the college community about campus safety and security.
These services are offered through the Campus Security Offices, Student
Affair Offices, and through college-wide training programs. This information
is disseminated through student/employee orientation, campus publications
and flyers, or any other media deemed appropriate such as the World-Wide
Web.

All faculty, staff and students
are encouraged to report criminal acts and safety hazards or occurrences
to their Campus Security Department. In the event of an immediate threat
or danger, the appropriate police/fire/medical agency should be contacted
by dialing 911. The Important Telephone

South Campus Security Escort (S.E.T.) Brochure
S.E.T. is a nightly campus walking escort service operating under the direction of the BCC South Campus Safety Department. Escort members are currently enrolled BCC students. All members are equipped with a picture I.D. and radio communications which are monitored by campus safety. S.E.T. provides escorts between 6:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday. If you need additional information contact your campus safety office.

Broward Community College has
a clear policy on the use of drugs and alcohol on school property. These
policies are in line with Federal, State, and local laws and are enforced
as such.The unlawful manufacture, distribution, dispensation, possession
or use of drugs in or on college owned or controlled property is prohibited.
No member of the college community is permitted to report to work or class
while under the influence of drugs or alcohol.The college is committed
to the enforcement of Federal, State and local alcohol laws. All reported
violations of these policies are referred to the appropriate authority.BCC
has adopted a drug free workplace policy (6HX2-3.05) and a standard of
conduct policy for students (6Hx2-5.06) that complies with Florida Statues
and the State Board of Education Rules. Both policies are available upon
request.

In accordance with Title II
of the Student Right To Know and Campus Security Act of 1990, Broward
Community College holds that students, staff and visitors have a right
to be aware of the amount of criminal
activity that occurs on its campus.
Broward Community College
encourages all persons to report criminal activity that occurs on campus
to the office of Campus Security Services and/or the appropriate law enforcement
agency.
