Specialization in Emergency Management Leadership
Today’s emergency services industry is demands higher levels of education and training from our nation’s leaders in emergency services. Broward College’s Bachelor of Applied Science in Supervision & Management degree with a specialization in Emergency Services Leadership is designed for professionals in the field who are ready to increase their managerial responsibility and leadership skills.
Students who complete the Bachelor of Applied Science in Supervision and Management with a specialization in EMS are prepared to assume supervisory roles in the EMS service. The program provides knowledge and skills in the areas of management, marketing, finance, operations, risk management, and community risk reduction. The BAS with EMS specialization can open the door for many promotional and increased income opportunities.
Eligible applicants must have a completed Associate of Science degree in EMS (2160) or an approved AS degree in EMS from a regionally accredited college or university with a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale in all post-secondary coursework.
General admission to Broward College is required in addition to a supplemental application to the BAS program.
Applicants for the BAS Program with a specialization in Emergency Management Leadership, must have at minimum a completed Associate of Science Degree in Emergency Medical Services from Broward College (or approved AS in EMS from a regionally accredited college or university) with a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 on a 4,0 scale in all post-secondary coursework.
