Substitute Teacher with Classroom Management
No experience in the classroom, but want to teach in Broward Schools? Take this recommended course to gain in-demand training and receive your certificate of completion. Students must purchase book prior to first class and must attend all sessions to receive their certificate. Review the Substitute Teacher Application Process or submit an application.

Child Care Introduction (Mandatory 30 Hour State Training)
The 40 Hour Child Care Certification Program provides the training required, by law, to work in a child care center or Family Child Care Home in the state of Florida. The Introductory Child Care Training is divided into two parts for a total of 40 hours: 30 Hours Introduction to Child Care and one additional 10-hour course. Student must register for class with Broward College and with the State of Florida’s Department of Children and Family. For assistance, please see the Child Care Registration Steps

All child care personnel are required to 
complete the following 30-clock-hours which are re divided into five training modules:

• Rules Regulations for Child Care Facilities (RNRF)
• Child Abuse Neglect (CAAN)
• Health, Safety Nutrition (HSAN)
• Child Growth and Development (CGDR)
• Behavioral Observation and Screening (BOSR)
All Students must register with the state of Florida:

Child Development Associate Training
