Director Credential

The Director Credential prepares individuals for an administrative role in a child care program or for individuals that are interested in opening their own child care facility. All licensed child care facilities are required have a director with the Director Credential certification.  
To qualify for a Director Credential, individuals must have:

              1) an active Staff Credential
              2) completed the Introduction to Childcare Training (40 hours)
              3) completed the Overview of Child Care Management course. Students may take CHD2800* to meet the requirement
                  for the Overview of Child Care Management course. This course is offered every term at Broward College.    

To apply for a Director Credential, you will need to complete the Florida Child Care Director Credential and Renewal Application.
