The Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree is designed to provide students with the academic and professional skills necessary to succeed in a bachelor’s degree program as well as in their careers. Broward College’s A.A. degree prepares students to think critically and creatively, communicate effectively, define and analyze real-world problems, and apply information and technology to develop innovative solutions in a dynamic global economy and community. Students who complete the A.A. degree at Broward College are guaranteed to transfer as a junior to a Florida public university or to continue in a bachelor’s degree at Broward College.
Students pursuing the A.A. degree should consult their advisor about their transfer goals and use transfer advising plans that can be helpful in meeting the admission requirements for transfer institutions.

An Associate of Science (A.S.) degree is designed to provide students with the academic and professional skills necessary to be job-ready at graduation. Broward College’s A.S. degrees are tailored to provide students with skills for specific job markets and prepare students to think critically and creatively, communicate effectively, define, and analyze real-world problems, and apply information and technology to develop innovative solutions for targeted jobs.
Students who complete an A.S. degree at Broward College are able to transfer to a Florida public university or to continue in a bachelor’s degree at Broward College.
Below are the Associate of Science degrees available in the Business Pathway:
The Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) is an open access degree program designed for students who have earned an Associate of Science or an Associate of Arts degree and want to continue to earn a 4-year degree. The program supports students’ seamless transition from an associate’s degree program earned at a State institution; class schedules are also designed to support working students who wish to advance professionally and need additional educational credentials to do so.
We currently offer a BAS degree in Supervision & Management.
Professor Davis received the George and Wilma Elmore Endowed Teaching Chair. Professor Davis has taught at Broward College for 11 years. He holds a master’s degree in economics and a Master of Business Administration from Florida Atlantic University.
In addition to his courses in Macro- and Microeconomics, and his development of new specializations, courses, and certificates, Professor Davis presents seminars in personal finance, in response to student demand to learn about day-to-day financial literacy.
